I hope you got a chance to see the great “60 Minutes” piece on actor Gary Sinise last night, and the terrific work he’s doing with his “Lt. Dan Band” to help raise money for seriously injured soldiers returning from the wars. A few years back I ran into him in the Wrigley Field pressbox and got this cool photo.
While I was in Chicago to do some work at WGN last week, I got to look out at the giant Marilyn statue which set right outside the studio. Sadly, that structure has now been dismantled, but not before I managed to get these two, classic photos. (Oh, shut up! Like you wouldn’t have taken the same shot!)
An enormous thanks to everyone at WGN Chicago for the warm welcome and hospitality over the weekend. I had the pleasure of filling in on the Sunday nine-to-noon entertainment show from the “showcase” studio on Michigan Avenue at the river along the windy city’s “Magnificent Mile.” We'll be back with our Daily Dose (and other features) as of next Monday!
